CCU’s Nyhoff wins league honor

Senior Jill Nyhof of the Coastal Carolina volleyball team earned Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors, announced today by the league office.

Nyhof posted 13 blocks and averaged 1.62 blocks per set in two matches this past week. She tallied three blocks against Winthrop on Oct. 6 and registered 10 blocks, including four solo blocks in the Chanticleers’ 3-1 win over Presbyterian Oct. 10. This is the second time Nyhof has earned Big South Defensive Player of the Week this season.
