CCU all smiles 7 days from Penn State game
Published: August 23, 2008
It was all smiles and fooling around for Coastal Carolina seven days from their biggest game in their programs history. The Chants showed off their pearly whites and biceps for picture day. The only barking by Coach David Bennett came from telling his players, coaches and the coach’s wives where to position themselves for the pictures taking place.
As for on the field issues, redshirt sophomore Zach MacDowall has moved ahead of senior Will Richardson on the depth chart at starting quarterback, yet Richardson is still likely to get the start at Beaver Stadium.
“It doesn’t matter to Will (Richardson) and I who starts,” said MacDowall. “
We just want the best for the team and who ever that is, is who we support.”
CCU will leave for Happy Valley this Friday, with News 13 Sports Director Matt Lincoln by their side. Be sure to follow the Chants from the practice field to the big stage of Beaver Stadium on SCNow.com and New 13.
