Cardinals, Panthers, Heels, Huskies earn top seeds
The Big East put up a big number Sunday: Three No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament. Louisville, Pittsburgh and Connecticut helped the Big East, a group originally created for basketball only, become the first conference to put three teams on the top line. North Carolina, regular-season Atlantic Coast conference champions, was the other top seed.

One and done for Clemson at ACC tourney
Lewis Clinch set a career high with 32 points and last-place Georgia Tech pulled off the first big upset of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, beating No. 17 Clemson 86-81 on Thursday.

Trevor Booker had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 13 Clemson, which overcame a 15-point deficit in an 81-73 victory over Georgia Tech on Sunday. The Tigers (22-4, 8-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) have won six of eight and improved to 9-0 this season when Booker has a double-double.

Clemson adds TCU to boost nonconference schedule
The Tigers added a Sept. 26 home game against TCU on Friday. The Horned Frogs finished 11-2 and ranked seventh in the country last season, with their only losses coming against No. 2 Utah and No. 5 Oklahoma.
