Coastal will play Clemson in 2009
Fans waiting for a Clemson vs. Coastal football game will not have to wait as long as they originally thought. The CCU football team has signed a contract to play Clemson in Death Valley on Halloween night in 2009.

Coastal Carolina and Clemson will meet sooner than expected on the gridiron. The two schools finalized a contract to play Oct. 31, 2009 at Memorial Stadium. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.

Cliff Hammonds scored 22 points, shooting 4-of-6 on 3-pointers, to lead Clemson to a 82-67 victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday night.The Tigers (18-6, 6-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed as they moved into a tie for third place in the ACC and improved their chances to make their first NCAA tournament since 1998.

X-rays show Clemson’s Booker has sprained ankle
Clemson fell behind at Miami on Sunday, rallied from a 12-point deficit to take the lead, then fell apart in the final three minutes to lose to the Hurricanes. Throughout it all, the Tigers' biggest force in the middle, 6-foot-7 Trevor Booker, watched from the bench as he nursed an ankle sprain.

Hamlin Staying for Senior Season
Six Clemson Tigers looked into bypassing their senior season and jumping to the NFL Draft. Three of those six met with Tommy Bowden today and said they were definitely coming back.
