CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson coach Oliver Purnell has scheduled a second fundraiser for Coaches vs. Cancer and hopes to surpass the $100,000 he presented the group one year ago.
Purnell, who announced the event Wednesday, will join his wife in hosting “Oliver & Vicky Purnell’s TigerFest ‘09.“
The event will be held Oct. 6 at the conference center on campus. It includes a silent auction and entertainment.
Purnell said one the proudest moments of his life was last January when he presented the check to Coaches vs. Cancer.
