The Dillon volleyball team’s unprecedented streak came to a heart-breaking end Tuesday with a 3-2 loss to Waccamaw in the third round of the Class 2A playoffs.

This past week the Pee Dee Academy volleyball team closed out the regular in preparation for state playoffs over the weekend.

The regular season came to a close on Monday for the Hartsville Lady Red Foxes varsity volleyball team on a low note with a loss to Carolina Forest at home. The final scores were 18-25, 26-24, 20-25 and 19-25.

Shannon Byers recorded a 14-kill, 14-dig double-double to lead regionally fourth-ranked USC Aiken to a thrilling 3-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over Francis Marion University, Friday evening (Oct. 16) in volleyball action at the Convocation Center.

Sophomore Heather Bolwerk and senior Galina Podolsky both recorded double-doubles and combined for 14 of the St. Andrews 20 service aces as the Knight volleyball team defeated Coker 25-9, 18-25, 25-14, 24-26, 15-10 on Wednesday night.

Following two back-to-back losses against Sumter and Carolina Forest, the Hartsville Lady Red Foxes varsity volleyball team fought off the West Florence Knights for a win on Tuesday night. The Foxes record improves to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in region.
