Despite the rain Tuesday, Lamar High School had something to be happy about: breaking ground on a track.

Coastal Carolina University Men’s Cross Country and Track and Field Head Coach Jeff Jacobs has been temporarily suspended for one week following a charge of driving under the influence during the weekend. 

Seven teams met at Darlington High School Thursday afternoon in prep track action.
