Tigers weather storm, Eagles

C.J. Spiller showed more punch on his first ever punt return than Boston College had all game in Clemson’s 25-7 victory Saturday. Spiller had a 77-yard return score, kicker Richard Jackson added a school-record tying six field goals and Clemson’s defense bottled up the Eagles in a game that took nearly five hours to finish because of two rain delays.

Hartsville takes care of business at Wilson, 34-13

The Hartsville Red Foxes played sound fundamental football and capitalized on big turnovers to keep the Wilson Tigers at bay Thursday night, looking tougher on defense in a 34-13 road win.

No. 15 GT blows lead, rallies past Clemson 30-27

Georgia Tech learned a valuable lesson without having to take a devastating loss. If the Yellow Jackets ever get another big lead, they’d better not let up. Scott Blair kicked a 36-yard field goal with 57 seconds remaining to bail out No. 15 Georgia Tech, which squandered a 24-point lead but still managed to beat Clemson 30-27 Thursday night.
