The American Institute for Foreign Study has awarded The King’s Academy in Florence the 2009 Tony Cook Memorial Grant.

The King’s Academy will host its annual spring Fiesta Auction at 6 p.m. Friday at the school, 1015 S. Ebenezer Road, Florence.

Carson Lee, a student at The King’s Academy, soon will be able to say he has something in common with some of the most notable figures in the music industry.
