That’s Life: Age of consent is 16, not 14, not that it matters
So, to those parents who called to say that the state’s young age of consent is one of the reasons students are getting pregnant, you should know that you have two extra years to try to control your child’s behavior with “the law says…” The age of consent is NOT 14, it IS 16.

In celebration of American Heart Month, Marion Regional Healthcare System will have blood pressure screenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. throughout February. The screenings are free and open to anyone and are conducted in A Woman’s Place.
