Cobra Men shutout Mars Hill 2-0
The Lions’ men’s soccer team lost to Coker College Saturday afternoon, 2-0 in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium. Mars Hill fell to 0-3-1 while the Cobras improved to 4-0 on the season.
Charlotte rolls past FMU women
The Charlotte 49ers jumped to a 3-0 first-half lead and cruised to a 7-1 victory over Francis Marion on Friday in women’s soccer.

FMU men’s soccer wins home opener
Senior midfielder Kyle Clinton scored a pair of first-half goals to help lead No. 22 FMU to a 4-1 non-conference win over St. Andrews. FMU (2-0-0) extends its regular-season unbeaten streak to 14 matches, and gives coach Kevin Varnado a win in his first-ever match-up with his alma mater.
