Ninth-inning rally ends RedWolves’ season
With one out in the bottom of the ninth inning and trailing 4-3, Donnie Corsner hit a solo home run to tie the game and Outer Banks brought home a run with the bases loaded to complete the come-from- behind 5-4 victory against the Florence RedWolves in a first-round Petit Cup playoff game, which didn’t end until early Friday morning.

RedWolves’ bats silent when needed most
Via a 4-3 loss to the Wilson Tobs on Monday night, the Florence RedWolves lost any chance of winning the Coastal Plain League’s South Division second half championship. And while winning that championship was a team goal, the RedWolves should be more concerned with the way they lost their regular season finale.

After dominating the Coastal Plain League in the first half, The Forest City Owls haven’t missed a beat in the second half. Brian Burton hit a first-inning grand slam and Konstantine Diamadur had three hits and four RBI as the Forest City Owls defeated the Florence Redwolves 9-3 on Thursday at Legion Field.

CPL All-Star Game ends in tie
The National All-Stars and American All-Stars played to a 2-2 tie in 10 innings in the Coastal Plain League All-Star Game at Buck Hardee Field on Tuesday night.
The National squad took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a run-scoring single from Outer Banks’ Dylan Petrich.
