Pelicans use big comeback to ward off Warthogs

The Pelicans good luck seemed to be coming to an end.  But thanks to one big inning, Myrtle Beach kept their momentum rolling to the All-Star Break. Myrtle Beach scored seven runs in the 8th inning to top Winston-Salem 10-7 Monday night at BB&T Coastal Field.

Pelicans, RedWolves get rained on

Both the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Florence RedWolves could not find safety from the rain on the road last night.  Both teams had their games rained out.

Jones helps Pelicans outslug Warthogs

USC product Travis Jones has had an up and down season in his first year with the Pelicans.  Tuesday night was one of the ups.  Jones blasted two home runs, leading Myrtle Beach to a 9-7 victory over the Warthogs in Winston-Salem.

Pelicans stage another comeback in win

For the second straight night the Myrtle Beach Pelicans came back from five down to pull off a win.  The Birds climbed out of a 6-1 hole to top the Frederick Keys 7-6.

Pelicans come back to salvage finale vs. Indians

The Pelicans made sure there would be no clean sweep at BB&T Coastal Field.  The Birds salvaged the finale of their three game set with Kinston by scoring six consecutive runs, to win 6-5.

Nothing OK about Pelicans loss to K-Tribe

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans surrendered a season high 13 runs as they lost 13-2 in game two of their series with Kinston.  The Birds allowed 7 runs in the seventh inning, a season high record for runs allowed in an inning.

Pelicans blow lead to Kinston

The Pelicans took a two run lead in the 6th inning against Kinston, but let the game slip through their fingers, as the Indians pull off a 4-3 win at BB&T Coastal Field.
