Pelicans win second straight with 4-1 victory over Dash
Steady pitching and timely hitting were key for the Pelicans’ second straight win Monday night at Wake Forest Baseball Park in Winston-Salem, NC. Pelican starter Edgar Osuna (3-3) allowed only three hits and just one run over his seven innings to claim his third win of the season.

McCann still has eye issue after Myrtle Beach rehab stint
Atlanta Brave catcher Brian McCann’s trip back to Myrtle Beach was not a success. McCann is on the disabled list because of discomfort in his left eye. He spent two games playing for the Pelicans and trying to figure it out, but he still leaves the Beach with questions.

‘Cats comeback bests Pelicans
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans made a living in their recent road trip to visit the Salem Red Sox by getting just enough offense to back up solid pitching efforts. In Monday night’s series opener of a three-game set with the Lynchburg Hillcats, the Pelicans fell victim to those same traits in a 4-3 loss.

Both starters were outstanding in the second game of a four-game series at Salem Memorial Ballpark tonight in Salem, VA. Edgar Osuna (1-2) and Dave McKae (0-1) traded zeros for the first four innings seemingly matching each other pitch for pitch before the Pelicans finally broke through in the fifth.
