The state Democratic party will hear Florence Mayor Frank Willis’ protest of last week’s Democratic primary, in which challenger Stephen J. Wukela leads the incumbent by one vote.
Florence mayoral recount set for Monday
Florence County Elections officials will once again tabulate the votes from last week’s Democratic Mayoral primary to see who will be Florence’s new leader.

Will Rogers wins election for 4th Judicial Circuit solicitor post
Fourth Circuit Assistant Solicitor Will Rogers will be the new chief prosecutor of the circuit after defeating his opponent, Darlington attorney Jay Ervin, in the Democratic primary Tuesday.
