Tobacco Bowl: Adding new tradition to old rivalry
Organizers inside the Anderson Brothers Bank Conference Center unveiled a new tradition and a gleaming football trophy, presenting the Tobacco Bowl. Starting on Oct. 31, after the Marion-Mullins football game, the winning team will showcase the trophy for the year. The Tobacco Bowl is so named to acknowledge the county’s heritage and the industry that supported families, organizers said.

Auctioneers get the week one win in Green Sea Floyds. Creek Bridge wins season opener and Marion School District 1 has announced that with weather forecasts showing Hurricane Hannah arriving along the South Carolina coastline on Friday, the school’s football games have changed their playing times.
