Myrtle Beach Police arrested a Horry County councilman in a prostitution sting and charged him with loitering for prostitutes in October 2007.

Myrtle Beach city prosecutors dismissed prostitution charges against a Horry County councilman last week after charging him in October 2007.

Horry County councilman Marion foxworth talked with News13 Friday afternoon about all of his charges being dropped. He told News13’s Thema Ponton he found out the charges had been dropped when he got a text alert from scnow.com, while he was at a county council committee meeting.

A Horry County councilman charged with loitering for prostitutes last October won’t go to trial until January 2009. Marion Foxworth’s trial was set for the week of October 20.
