Marion County’s football elite includes all-star worthy performers

First let me start by saying that I was entertained and enjoyed every game on the sidelines during the prep football season.
I was proud of the effort Creek Bridge showed every week in a very tough region. The squad scored a ton of points and played in some very close games.

Marion County celebrates Veterans Day

Downtown Mullins was the site of the annual Marion County Veterans Day Parade Saturday Nov. 7. As citizens lined along Main Street, military veterans and several parade participants strolled city street as cheers showed an appreciation for the contributions from the nation’s best and brightest.

Marion County school districts receive federal stimulus funds

Marion County school districts will receive $264,000 in federal stimulus funds from the South Carolina Budget and Control Board’s State Energy Office to make energy efficiency improvements.
