Waters teaches kids back home

Lake View’s Anthony Waters has had a tumultuous year.  The linebacker was cut by the Chargers after his second year in the NFL, then signed by the Saints. Despite the change of scenery, he still found the time to come back to his hometown to help young ballplayers.

Geathers, Christian excel at O-D All-American Bowl

Lake View’s Quandon Christian and Carvers Bay’s Kwame Geathers both took it personally that they were not selected to a state all-star game.  They showed it in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.  The duo paced Team East to a 29-3 defeat of Team West to improve to 3-0 in the series.

Two Eastern Carolina stars will take the Brooks Stadium field on January 2nd for the third annual Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.  Lake View RB/LB Quandon Christian and Carvers Bay DT Kwame Geathers will both play for the East team in the all-star game featuring players from all over the country.
