Gilland’s unpaid fines grow, handed to revenue department
Gilland went to the State Ethics Commission office Tuesday to fill out the necessary paperwork in order for her to be “in compliance” with the department.
Gilland only one officer let off night of traffic stop
The same officer who let Liz Gilland go with a warning, ticketed four people within 24 hours for speeding. Some who received tickets were traveling fewer MPH over the speed limit than Gilland.

Officials: No consequences for not paying ethics fines
The South Carolina Ethics Commission lists politicians who owe thousands of dollars in campaign disclosure fines. However, there are not laws that force politicians to pay the fines they owe.

Horry County Council Chairman: $300,000 fine for missed paperwork
An attorney for the state ethics commission is contradicting statements from Horry County Council Chair Liz Gilland.
Gilland told News13 she learned through media reports about fines from the state ethics commission.

Fireworks prohibited zone public hearing scheduled for Horry County
The Horry County Public Safety Committee will hold a public hearing for those properties that would like to be established as a Fireworks Prohibited Zone and extend that zone onto public property.

Horry County Council passes budget
The budget includes, no tax increase, county employees will have their salaries reinstated and The COAST RTA will get $500.000 in funding. EMS fees are going to go up. County leaders said the kind of care you receive will determine how much you will pay.

Proposed Horry County budget restores some employee pay
Horry County leaders said the two big winners after Wednesday’s budget workshop are the employees and The COAST RTA. If the FY 2009/2010 budget is approved, COAST could get some much-needed funds and county employees could see some of their salary reinstated.
