Hartsville allows early Sunday shopping for holidays
For the second year in a row, Hartsville City Council has passed a resolution temporarily suspending part of the blue laws against Sunday morning shopping.

Library board tackles budget woes, clarifies meeting room policy
HARTSVILLE - The Darlington County Library Board of Trustees reviewed financial statements, received each library’s report and codified changes to the meeting room policy during Wednesday’s library board meeting at the Hartsville Memorial Library. Five board members were present.

Conway couple dies after crash
A husband and wife both died after a crash in Georgetown County. Highway Patrol officials said the driver ran the car off of Highway 701 and hit a tree about 5:45 p.m.
