As Chapter 7 bankruptcy phase wraps up, officials say five to ten different groups are showing interest in acquiring the amusement park.

Fred Giuliano, a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee for Delaware, says preliminary findings show that there won’t be enough equity left over once secured creditors are paid back.  He explains the secured creditors are owed more than $300 million.

Attorneys for Hard Rock Park will go before a Delaware bankruptcy judge to ask permission to liquidate their assets so creditors can be paid.

Charles Moore, with Rockstar Cabs, said the company was depending on a lot of business from Hard Rock Park. Moore said they were told some 30,000 visitors would need to get to the park, so Rockstar made a sizable deal, hoping to make a sizable profit.

Attorneys for Hard Rock Park have petitioned a federal court in Delaware for permission to switch its bankruptcy from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7 after failing to find a buyer for the rock-and-roll theme park located off Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach.
