South Carolina football fans will be able to buy tickets in pairs. The school is offering two-game ticket plans beginning today. Only one of the seven games at Williams-Brice Stadium this season won’t be available under the latest offer.

Redshirt freshman T.J. Johnson is currently listed as a starter at right guard for the Gamecocks.  Thanks to a great spring and summer, Johnson is listed ahead of junior Kevin Young on the depth chart. 

Steve Spurrier has rarely had an offseason of change at South Carolina like this one: Several new assistants, fewer off-field problems and a rising star quarterback who has spent more time studying plays than working off a suspension.

The Kansas City Chiefs have waived kicker Connor Barth, likely clearing the way for seventh-round draft pick Ryan Succop to be the team’s starter this season. Barth played in 10 games for the Chiefs last season, making 10 of 12 field goals as a rookie, but the 2-14 Chiefs struggled mightily on special teams.

Spurrier said Friday that South Carolina’s director of football operations Jamie Speronis filled out the ballot in his stead and voted for Mississippi’s Jevan Snead.

It’s been a good combination all season for South Carolina, and Friday was no different. USC’s offense got on a roll, and starting pitcher Sam Dyson turned in seven strong innings to help the Gamecocks beat George Mason 11-3 in the Greenville, N.C., NCAA baseball regional.

Less than a week after being reinstated to the team, USC cornerback C.C. Whitlock has been suspended again following a weekend arrest near his hometown of Chester.

Clemson is the host and top seed and will face Tennessee Tech in the opener, while the second-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks open with No. 3 seed George Mason in the regional hosted by top-seed East Carolina.

Louis Coleman pitched eight strong innings and Matty Ott worked out of a bases loaded ninth-inning jam to lead LSU to a 4-1 victory over South Carolina Friday night and keep the Tigers alive in the Southeastern Conference tournament.

The Pee Dee Gamecock Club will hold their annual spring meeting Thursday at Florence Civic Center. South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier, USC basketball coach Darrin Horn, Gamecock cheerleaders and dance team as well as Cocky will be in attendance.

Stephen Curry’s showed he’s still spectacular in the postseason, no matter the tournament. Curry scored 32 points Tuesday night, leading Davidson (27-7) to a 70-63 victory over South Carolina in the opening round of the NIT.

Barry Stewart scored 21 points, most of them from 3-point range, and Mississippi State beat South Carolina 82-68 Friday in the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament.

Wofford scored 11 unanswered runs in the sixth, eighth and ninth innings on its way to a 16-8 win over 17th ranked South Carolina on Wednesday evening at Carolina Stadium.
