Miscues doom Gamecocks

Decked out in black jerseys, Tennessee took three South Carolina fumbles and turned them into touchdowns as the Volunteers beat the No. 21 Gamecocks 31-13 Saturday night.

Cooper to continue football career in Austria

Tory Cooper will continue his European football odyssey. The former South Florence standout, who played last season in France, signed a contract this week to play in Austria with the Swarco Raiders, the two-time defending Euro Bowl champions.

The Pee Dee again will be well represented in this year’s Shrine Bowl. Seven players have been selected to the annual high school football all-star game, which pits some of the top talent from South Carolina and North Carolina.
