Red Foxes go to Rock Hill for playoffs
The Hartsville Red Foxes varsity football team is for a second-round playoff matchup with Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. today.
Dillon Christian chases another state championship
Not a lot has changed at Dillon Christian during the last year or so. At least, not on the football field. Not more than two weeks after the Warriors won the 2008 SCISA Class A state championship, coach Kelly Williamson and his staff had their team back in the weight room preparing for this season.

As Coach Jeff Calabrese told his players afterward, in the playoffs it’s all about surviving to play another day, and that’s what the Hartsville Red Foxes (10-2) did by outlasting T.L. Hanna 14-7 Friday to setup a second round contest against Northwestern this week.

First let me start by saying that I was entertained and enjoyed every game on the sidelines during the prep football season.
I was proud of the effort Creek Bridge showed every week in a very tough region. The squad scored a ton of points and played in some very close games.

Lamar’s defense key to 40-6 win over Estill
Estill put up more of a fight than the final score would indicate, but the Lamar Silver Foxes (10-1) still rolled through the first round of the playoffs at home Friday night, winning 40-6 to set up a second round home contest versus Allendale-Fairfax. Allendale-Fairfax overwhelmed Baptist Hill (50-6) and will now face Lamar at 7:30 p.m. this Friday night in Lamar.
