A Clio man was arrested early Wednesday after police caught him breaking into the new Florence Little Theatre on South Dargan Street.

The genesis of community theater in the U.S. hails back to the Colonial and Revolutionary War era, though many of the details have not been well documented.

For 40 years, Florence Little Theatre has called the building on Cashua Drive its home.
