All State, Rabon Agency donate 1,500 Fire Safety coloring books

All State and the Rabon Agency donated 1,500 Fire Safety coloring books to the Hartsville Fire Department to be distributed in Hartsville area elementary schools. The Rabon Agency also donated another 2,500 of the coloring books to the Darlington County Fire District.

Truck carrying hay catches fire near Hartsville

Hartsville firefighters are on the scene of a truck fire on S.C. 151 near Hartsville. A truck carrying a load of hay near Segars Mill and Kellytown roads caught fire at 2:50 p.m., S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said.

Firefighters from five departments fought an early morning blaze at a Florence auto parts warehouse Saturday. “When we arrived on the scene it was fixin’ to come out the top of the building,” West Florence Fire Chief LaRue Hendrix said of the fire, initially reported by a law enforcement officer about 1:30 a.m.
