Florence 2 school board seeks to adjust elections

Members of Florence School District 2 Board of Trustees have approved first reading of a board policy that will allow residents of the Pamplico-based district to vote for school board members during a 12-hour time frame instead of only one hour.

Florence Mayor Frank Willis has decided he’ll appeal a decision handed down Monday by 12th Circuit Judge Michael Nettles, in which Nettles dismissed Willis’ appeal in the Florence mayoral primary election.
