Florence Schools get vaccinated for H1N1
Florence School District 1 held H1N1 flu vaccination clinics Wednesday at all of its schools. All of the vaccinations were provided to the students free of charge through a partnership with the Department of Health and Environmental control.

Darlington County School Board approves new high school schedule
The Darlington County School Board unanimously approved a new seven-period schedule for district high schools for 2010-11 during the monthly board meeting in Darlington.

Miss Florence Bree Boyce kicked off her “Eating Healthy, Fighting Obesity” campaign as she spoke to more than 300 children at All Saints Episcopal Day School on Monday, November 9, 2009. Boyce used to weigh 230 pounds but has lost nearly 100 pounds and since has been crowned Miss Florence.
