Agents have arrested a Mullins man after an extensive drug investigation by the Marion County Combined Drug Unit.

Myrtle Beach Police investigators are searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy early Monday morning.

Two Florence men have been sentenced for their role in bringing large amounts of illegal drugs to the Pee Dee.

Two Hartsville residents were arrested after a Thursday morning drug raid, according to a Darlington County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Seventeen Pee Dee men have pleaded guilty to their involvement in a drug conspiracy spanning the past decade and involving more than 100 kilograms of powder cocaine and crack cocaine.

A Pageland man was sentenced to three years in prison after 14 bags of crack cocaine fell out of his pockets in front of police,  Assistant 4th Circuit Solicitor Adam Foard said in a press release issued Wednesday.

A Florence man was sentenced to a total of 50 years in prison after being tried in his absence twice and disappearing for several months, 12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements III said.

A Florence man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for federal drug and firearms charges, U.S. Attorney W. Walter Wilkins said in a press release.

A Charlotte man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine in connection with a Chsterfield County case, U.S. Attorney W. Walter Wilkins said in a press release.

Officers arrested Luis Miguel Lara Valencia, 30, and Lisa Marie Valencia, 32.  Both were charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the presence of a child, and unlawful neglect of a child.

Three Coward men were arrested Friday on drug charges as a result of a three-month investigation by the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and Coward Police Department.

The third suspect in a manhunt Monday was found off S.C. 38 South by Marlboro County Sheriff’s Department in Blenheim on Tuesday.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office has won more than $640,000 in federal grants to help hire additional investigators and secure resources in the areas of narcotics, gang activity, criminal domestic violence and forensics.

An inmate who escaped from the Palmer Pre-Release Center more than a year ago was was captured Tuesday night in Johnston County, N.C., according to a press release issued Wednesday by the S.C. Department of Corrections.

Dr. Breton Juberg said the message is, this is an issue that will not be tolerated and mothers should know they may be tested and there could be consequences, up to and including prosecution.  And he said the biggest consequence of all might be a baby born with permanent brain damage.
