The Darlington Falcons wrapped up a Class 3A spot and knocked out the rival Wilson Tigers in the process with a 41-15 win Friday at Memorial Stadium.

But beginning July 1, she’ll add a new title to the list: Darlington County School District’s Benefits Coordinator.

Jordan Scott has made a verbal commitment to play basketball at the College of Charleston, Coach Ken Howle of Darlington High School announced today.

It appears Gerald Harrison will be coaching at S.C. State this season after all. S.C. State coach Buddy Pough said in e-mail Thursday through a school spokesperson he and school officials have reached an agreement in principal to bring Harrison, a defensive line coach, back this season.

Gerald Harrison appears headed back to the sidelines as a member of the South Carolina State football coaching staff. Wednesday evening, Bulldogs football head coach Oliver “Buddy” Pough confirmed that Harrison, the team’s defensive line coach and director of football operations, is slated to return to the coaching staff.

The T&D has confirmed the firings of South Carolina State assistant football coach Gerald Harrison as well as Senior Associate Athletics Director Brantley Evans. However, South Carolina State Athletics Director Charlene Johnson did not have many answers when reached by phone Monday.

Darlington’s Donnie James fullfilled a life-long dream Thursday by signing with USC Salkahatchie to play college basketball.  James averaged 19 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Falcons last season after coming back from a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup in 2007.
