Rural communities get public water service
Two small communities nestled on the border of Clarendon and Williamsburg counties will no longer be dependent on wells for suitable drinking water, thanks to a $545,200 federal grant. The funds will pay for a public water infrastructure to be established in parts of the two counties.

Walker-Gamble Elementary registration to begin
Walker-Gamble Elementary School pre-registration for 2009-2010 will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday at Walker-Gamble for all new students ages 4 through grade 5.
