Members of Chesterfield County School District Board of Education approved hiring the architectural firm Goforth Brown & Associates to work on a renovation project at the old Edwards School.

A Cheraw resident was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for a role in a Chesterfield County drug conspiracy, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the U.S. Attorney W. Walter Wilkins.
