CFHS principal said she was anxious for Monday’s start
Carolina Forest principal Velna Allen said she was anxious about the students returning to school Monday after Friday’s shooting and stabbing incident.
Allen said although she was anxious on Monday, the day was what she expected and she said knew students would rise to the occasion and day went very well.

News Carolina Forest turn lane not loved by all
The construction to extend the left turn lane at Carolina Forest Boulevard is finished. The reason for the lane is to help ease the backup at the highway 501 intersection. But, despite the lane being less than one day old some drivers don’t like it.

A hit and run on Carolina Forest Boulevard late Saturday claimed the life of a Maryland man. A county judge set bond on 54-year-old John J. Lomas, charged with two counts of hit and run.
