A judge sentenced Keion Griffin, 19, after being found guilty on murder charges from the 2008 shooting that killed a Coastal Carolina University student.

The accusations on a website about the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and some campaign contributions are false, that’s according to the MBACC.

This year’s fall back rally is underway on the Grand Strand. While thousands of bikers have attended in years past that’s not expected to be the case this year since several ordinances went into effect this past spring.

With an estimated 10,000 to 20,000 people expected to travel to the Grand Strand beginning Wednesday for the annual fall motorcycle rally, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is reminding motorists and bikers to share the road.
 

South Carolina police expect a smaller crowd at a Myrtle Beach area bike rally beginning this week

Some businesses in Myrtle Beach and in the south end of the strand said that the spring biker rallies were a lot smaller than normal and that they aren’t expecting a big crowd to show up this time either.

At Tuesday’s council meeting, Georgetown council members passed first reading of a new ordinance that puts stricter regulations on vendors in the area. Some of the proposed changes are, only one vendor would be allowed for every 100 feet.

After Myrtle Beach got ripped pretty well by biker and business groups over low turnout in May the Harley bikers will be having a fall rally and now Atlantic Beach is talking about doing the same thing.

Though the idea to bring back Atlantic Beach’s bike fest this the fall has not been made official a few biker associations are already working on getting out the word.
