Brined turkey and savory herb gravy is just right for Thanksgiving
Today I’m printing a recipe for brined turkey and Savory Herb Gravy. The brining process takes 12 to 24 hours, starting with a thawed turkey, so if you want to try this, plan accordingly and add extra time to your preparations. Next week we will finish up with a couple of light dessert recipes.

ASK PAT: Spend a little time in the kitchen and save money on entree mixes
This week I’m featuring two more recipes from “Miserly Moms”, a cookbook that shows you how to make dishes at home and save money instead of buying them already made. Have a party with punch and appetizer
Save today’s recipes for the next time you need to serve punch and finger foods to a large group. The punch is great and fairly easy to make and the meatballs would be super easy if you used pre-made frozen meat balls.

Use your summer veggies
This past Saturday, Aug. 8, was “Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Night”. If anybody left you some that is why. When people have had a bumper crop of any summer veggie there is always the problem of how to use them up.
