For the Love of Cats Inc. Feline Rescue & Adoption is having a pet adoption Saturday in Florence.

Paws to the Rescue’s first fundraiser for the Marion County Animal Shelter will be at Dusty Hills Country Club from 4-9 p.m. and will feature raffles and silent auctions, a barbeque plate dinner beginning at 5 p.m. ($6 each), and dancing to the sounds of the local group Southern Blue from 6-9 p.m.

The Second Chance K9 Rescue of the Pee Dee and Carolinas Kitties Rescue will hold a pet adoption from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bi-Lo, 2640 W. Palmetto St., Florence.

The Florence Area Humane Society is always looking for volunteers, but it’s now kicking off a coordinated effort to find people who want to reciprocate the love shown by man’s best friends.

The Florence Area Humane Society will have a pet adoption from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pet Lovers Warehouse on South Irby Street in Florence.

Carolina Kitties Rescue is having a pet adoption from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Books-A-Million in Florence.
