Residents work to get Goat Island goats to safety

Residents in Murrells Inlet spent hours Friday morning and afternoon trying to capture the Goat Island goats and get them to a safe place before Tropical Storm Hanna arrives.

Several people took on the difficult task of chasing the goats around and trying to round them up.

The goats have become a popular sight for folks along the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk, but when a storm heads up the coast they need to be brought to a safe location.

I am fully expecting a drink special at Drunken Jack’s tomorrow called the “Socastee Education”!
I have watched this like 100 times. If I could only figure out how to download it so I could make it run continuously on my Myspace page.
