Lots of rain, some flooding as Hanna heads inland
Tropical Storm Hanna downed trees, flooded roads and caused scattered power outages after hitting land near the North Carolina state line early Saturday, but caused no serious problems in the Carolinas.

Horry officials close EOC, will end storm response at 11 a.m.
The Horry County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will close at 9:30 a.m. today and will returnto normal operating conditions. In addition, the Horry County Road & Drainage Hotline (843-381-8000) will remain open until 11 a.m. this morning after which it will go back to regular office hours.
HTC reports no major Hanna damage
As of 8 a.m. Saturday, HTC reported no major outages due to Tropical Storm Hanna. The few sporadic outages reported this morning have mainly been due to the loss of power.
Georgetown officials report little Hanna damage

FCC plans to go through with DTV test in NC
The chairman of the Federal Communications Commission said Friday that he is unlikely to delay plans for an important test in North Carolina that could disrupt television service for some viewers in the path of Tropical Storm Hanna.
Few go to SC, NC shelters before Hanna
Nearly 200 people were in shelters in Charleston, Horry and Georgetown counties as Tropical Storm Hanna spun toward the South Carolina coast.

Marion County EOC closes
City of Marion, City of Mullins and Marion County non-essential employees were released to go home at 3:30 p.m. Friday… Marion County Administrator said the county’s EOC is being activated to full staff, beginning at 5 p.m. The EOC closed early Saturday morning.
