SLED arrests fugitive wanted on several assualt charges

SLED, Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and Winnsboro Department of Public Safety located and arrested Bun Mann III, a man wanted on a variety of charges including sexual assault, assault and battery, and kidnapping in Fairfield and Richland Counties.

According to a press release, SLED’s Investigative Support Unit received valuable information on Mann’s exact whereabouts and tracked him down to a unit at Castlewood Apartments located at 200 Castlewood Drive in Winnsboro shortly before 1 o’clock this afternoon.

Members of SLED’s ISU and Tracking Team found Mann hiding in an attic where he was arrested on Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office warrants without incident.

Mann is also wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in Richland County and traveling with the victim to Winnsboro, where Mann is accused of severely assaulting her.

Tiffany Boyd has also been arrested in this case.
Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office has charged her with harboring a fugitive.

Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and Winnsboro DPS had several outstanding warrants for Mann’s arrest including: assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, simple assault and larceny.

Mann and Boyd are being held at the Fairfield County Detention Center.
