20 killed in N.C. vehicle wrecks over holiday

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The North Carolina Highway Patrol says 20 people were killed in vehicle accidents during the busy Thanksgiving travel period.

Too many cats? Some in Southport say yes

It's hard to get around the waterfront town without seeing a cat, but some residents say they're seeing too many and they say the animals are becoming a nuisance and possibly a health concern.

Reigelwood tornado anniversary is today

Today is the one year anniversary of the deadly tornado that killed nine people in Reigelwood, NC. The storm devastated a mobile home park in Columbus County with more than 30 homes destroyed. Governor Mike Easley estimated the damage at over $ 8 million dollars.
