State Rep. Nikki Haley of Lexington, a Republican candidate for governor in 2010, will visit Hartsville to meet voters fro 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Centennial Park on the corner of Fifth Street and Carolina Avenue.

Haley represents District 87 in Lexington County and has served in the House since 2004.

“We’ve got great challenges facing us in South Carolina, but also a world of opportunity,” Haley said.

“I have every confidence that with conservative leadership and a renewed commitment to the principals that have made America great – hard work, traditional values, promoting an atmosphere of opportunity over an environment of bailouts – we can transform our state. I know what good government looks like. I’m running for governor so the people of South Carolina will know what it feels like.”

Tuesday’s event is open to the public.
