COLUMBIA – The Gresham Barrett for Governor Campaign today released its finance figures for the third quarter showing more than $400,000 in newly raised money. This marks the third consecutive quarter that Barrett has exceeded the fundraising pace set by Republican candidates for governor in the last competitive statewide GOP primary.

He has received contributions from more than 2,500 individuals, businesses and entities.

“Thousands of people have invested in Gresham Barrett and his conservative vision for leading South Carolina’s economic turnaround,” said Barry Wynn, Barrett for Governor Finance Chairman. “They recognize he has the real world leadership experience, integrity and unique ability to bring people together to solve our state’s most serious challenges.”

In addition to the $400,000 in newly raised money, Barrett also transferred more than $140,000 from his congressional account to the gubernatorial campaign, a process the campaign will continue throughout the election.

Including the newly raised money and transfers, the Barrett for Governor Campaign now has more than $1.3 million cash on hand. Additionally, the Barrett for Congress account still has more than $330,000 cash on hand available.
