A forum for the two candidates running to become the next mayor of Hartsville will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at Coker College in the auditorium of Davidson Hall.

Pam Sansbury, former finance director for the City of Hartsville and a former member of Hartsville City Council, and Mel Pennington, businessman and vice chairman of the Hartsville Planning Commission, are running for mayor in the Nov. 3 municipal general election.

The forum is sponsored by Coker and the Center for Research in Leadership and Community Development at Coker.

Organizers are still working out details for the format forum.

Dr. Jim Lemke of the Center for Leadership said the forum is expected to last about an hour with the two candidates answering questions.
