LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Reader takes exception to statements by Rev. Joe Lewis

» 1 Comment | Post a Comment

I would like to comment on the Rev. Joe Lewis’ statements. First, I agree that racism is alive and well in our country, several that some people look up to and respect, like President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the “Rev.” Jesse Jackson, the “Rev.” Al Sharpton and most of the national media just to name a few.

It’s not blacks being discriminated against; it’s conservative white Christians. It seems everybody has freedom of speech except for conservative Christians. And second, you cannot find God in any thing or way you want. God is Holy and does not allow anything that isn’t holy in his presence. You can go to Hell any way you want, but you can only go to Heaven through Jesus Christ, not Allah, not Buddha or any other way someone dreams up.

Really, Dan?
Blacks are not discriminated against?  White Christians are discriminated against?  Please tell us how your right to free speech was infringed.  You can write a second letter the editor, if you wish.  You can’t find God in anything?  Really?  You might start by looking at the change in your pocket,
