LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Reader shocked at local’s treatment of dog
Published: November 2, 2009
I was at the Magnolia Mall recently, and I could not believe my eyes.
Someone had dropped a dog along with his tags, a bag of food and his doghouse between Penney’s and Dicks. You know this had to be their pet with all of his extras (house, toys, etc.). So why did they drop him off?
How cruel can you be? If you didn’t want the animal, then call the pound. At least there, he had a chance.
My sister and I went and bought him some food. We tried several times to catch him, but he seems afraid. Gee, I wonder why that should be.
If I knew who did this, I would report you to the ASPCA. This was heartless and cruel. You may get away with this now, but someday you will have to answer to a higher authority as to why you mistreated one of his creatures.
By the way, have you been to the mall lately to check on your dog. He is still looking and waiting for you. But he deserves better, and it is not you.
