LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Boone best person for sheriff in Florence

I just wanted to take a few minutes and let you know how I feel about Sheriff Boone and his deputies and another very special man there: Lt. Brett Camp.

I have known Sheriff Boone for as many years as I can remember, and I can truly say I have never meet a more dedicated, hard-working, a compassionate man, a great father to his two children and a man of his word.

After moving into Whitehall I contacted Kenney Boone who was an investigator at the time and ask him about starting a crime watch because we were having so many problems with kids doing stupid things, not to mention break ins and traffic off of the interstates.

It was beginning to be a real problem.

Boone stepped in (he had not even been elected sheriff yet but was very concerned). He also got Camp involved and our crime watch began.

Since starting the crime watch and working with Boone and Camp along with so many of his deputies, we got a lot of problems solved and out of our neighborhood.

We have helped them catch criminals, and they have even made some drug busts in the area of West Ebenezer.

This, my friends, is because we have a sheriff who truly cares.

Sheriff Boone is not one who says I am going to do this and then just push it to the side.

He listens to our concerns and needs and takes action.

This is the best man for sheriff.

On a personal note from myself and my husband, Brad, we are proud to be able to call Boone a friend, a neighbor, sheriff, and most of all, we are honored to call Boone one of the finest men we know.

Vote to re-elect Boone on Nov. 4.
