Police are investigating the death of a woman found on the playground of Greeleyville Elementary School, Greeleyville Police Chief Cedrick Driffin said.
Simone Miles, 35, of the Kingstree area was found dead about 7 a.m. Monday, Williamsburg County Coroner Harrison McKnight said.
A bus driver noticed the woman before school began and notified a janitor, who called 911, Driffin said.
Police noticed nothing that would indicate foul play, but are at a “standstill” until they receive autopsy results, the chief said.
The woman likely had been on the campus only through the night before she was discovered, Driffin said.
The coroner said he has sent the woman’s body to Charleston for an autopsy at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

cats4me, it sounds like you’ve got it all together and it would probably help it you would try to help your classmates that are less fortunate than you by being a little more considerate of their loved ones; yes, everybody has someone that loves them, no matter what problems they may encounter!
This is a sad story. It is truly a shame that this has happened. I am thankful that it was an adult that found her instead of a group of children.
I went to school with her - I hate that her life turned out so badly and that it had to end this way. I just spoke to her a couple of weeks ago - she looked run down because of all the drugs.
My thoughts and sympathies are with her daughter and family.
THIS IS SUCH A TRAGEDY I KNEW HER MY WHOLE LIFE SHE WAS ANOTHER SISTER TO ME GROWING UP MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HER FAMILY
