TIMMONSVILLE—A Timmonsville woman was arrested Saturday after police said she cut a woman with a razor blade.

Ida Bass,48, of 300 Colonial Dr. is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, Florence County Detention Center bookings reports show.

She was wanted by police in connection with an incident that happened earlier in the month, according to Timmonsville Police reports.

Police said she got into a fight with another woman, attacked her from behind and cut her face with a razor blade.

The woman required stitches.

Police said the suspect has a history of cutting and fighting.

Bass remains in custody at the Florence County jail, on a $15,000 surety bond.

It’s a shame that an employer wouldn’t let you call law enforcement.  I would think that she violated your rights.  Also, I think it’s the law enforcements respomsibility to track down someone, although I know from experience because I have been told from several FCSO’s “If you find out anything let us know”.  I thought this would be why we contact them to find things out.  Oh, well I guess like most places you go to get service you kind of have to do things on your own to get something done, the only problem with that is this:  People are getting fed up with criminals and allot of people are starting to take the law into their own hands, and then when they do that then they may have to suffer consequences for their actions.  The law is really messed up.  Just like DSS when you punish a child—there is a difference between abuse and punishing.  If the parents were allowed to spank their kids like my mom and dad did when I was growing up maybe you would see allot less drop-outs, less gang members, less crime.  What was it a 15 & 16 year old with guns a couple of days ago.  I never held a gun until I was going hunting at the age of 32 with someone.  This world is changing too fast, and for the worse.  Well, if something could have been done with your complaint maybe she would have thought twice about what she did to this girl…who knows. Sorry for your ordeal.

Bitter, would like to ask why you weren’t allowed to call law enforcement, but why didn’t you do something about it when you got off work?  Not trying to be nosey but I can’t see an employer not letting you call law enforcement.

This woman seems to be a repeat offender and definitely needs jail time.  If not, she will most likely kill someone or be killed.  She should be jailed at night and during the day made to work with the department that is responsible for cleaning up crime scenes.  Apparently she is not afraid of the site of blood.  This job of cleaning up after a horrific crime scene would be good for her. She would not be paid any money for working and be held accountable for this job just as any other employee.  Maybe it would give her a hint as to what may happen to her one day!

the reason the jails are overcrowded is because of the number of non violent drug offenders that are locked up in the us nearly 80% of the inmates in the us are non violent drug offenders if we would quit wasting time on them and lock up the violent criminals such as Ida we would have a lot less violent criminals on the street to act out

Sadly enough, these sorts of crimes go (basically) unpunished simply because it doesn’t warrant a jail sentence when you have so many murderers in jail. The jails are so overcrowded that even if a judge wanted to put this gal behind bars,he/she has no room anywhere. They are willing too roll the dice and let a cutter go and jail a killer first.Thats basically what is broke i.m.h.o. How do we fix it? We need laws and policies that make hardened criminals and repeat offenders think twice about crime. In far too many cases, the criminal has more rights than their victims. That is total b.s. and it HAS TOO STOP now.Maybe if we had the system that Joe Arpaio has,we would have a little common ground too walk on with law enforcment. For those not familiar with “Sheriff Joe”,Google him and looks at his stats.I think they will surprise you.

Her only punishment should be to get tied up and let her victim CUT HER FACE UP!!

OK, what’s wrong with this picture…
“police said the suspect has a history of cutting and fighting”. How can we get control of all this violence, when these criminals continue to be put right back on the streets with a slap on the wrist?  Well, that is, until they finally murder someone and are (sometimes) convicted. For goodness sake people, we gotta do something! Can’t we find out where the system is broken and fix it? What’s it gonna take, vigilante justice, for the law-abiding citizens to be safe?
