A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened almost a month ago, Dillon County Capt. Cliff Arnette said.

It took place a little after 1 a.m. Oct. 4 at the intersection of S.C. 9 and Harlees Bridge Road in Little Rock. A man was driving through the area with another adult and a 7-year-old child in his vehicle when he was fired upon by a group of men standing near the intersection.

One of those shots struck the man and injured him, though the injuries weren’t life-threatening, Arnette said. Neither the other adult nor the child were hurt.

The case remains under investigation and more arrests are possible, Arnette said.
